In Mark 14:66–15:15, we watch loyalty crumble and justice collapse. Peter warms himself by the fire, tries to blend in, and—under pressure—denies Jesus three times until the rooster crows and conviction breaks him into tears. Meanwhile, Jesus is bound and delivered to Pilate. Accused without end, He answers with startling restraint—blameless, yet silent—while a governor who knows the truth still chooses convenience. And in one unforgettable exchange, the guilty walk free: Barabbas is released, and Jesus is handed over to be scourged and crucified.
This passage confronts us with two sobering realities: self-confidence is not the same as faithfulness, and neutrality toward Jesus is impossible. The question is not whether you will respond—but how.
Will you deny Him, manage Him, or choose Him?
