43-Mark: “When Everything Quakes: WIll You Stay Awake?” -Sermon

What if the end doesn’t look like you were taught growing up?
In Mark 13:14–37, Jesus pulls our eyes off date-setting and headlines and calls us to something deeper: faithfulness when the world tilts. He warns of the abomination of desolation, unprecedented tribulation, cosmic shaking, and His return in glory—not to make us panic, but to keep us awake.
In this message we walk through Jesus’ sobering words about the last days, the pattern of Noah and the flood, the elect enduring through trial, and why God’s people are often sustained through the storm, not removed from it. Along the way we’re reminded that prophecy always bends toward a gospel purpose: repent, trust Christ, persevere, and watch for the King.
If you’re in Christ, this passage is a call to stay alert, stay on mission, and anchor your hope in Jesus, not in comfort.
If you’re not yet in Christ, it’s a gracious warning: don’t be caught outside the ark. Turn from your sin, trust His cross and empty tomb, and be ready when He returns.
