I am a Church Member (Part 3): Loving & Treasured

Oct 26, 2025    Pastor Christopher Thompson

What is love, really? Not a secondhand emotion—but the first command and the center of a disciple’s life (Mark 12:28–34). And what does God treasure? Not the size of the gift but the surrender of the heart (Mark 12:41–44). Today we see Love embodied in Jesus and learn why, in heaven’s math, surrender outweighs sum.

If you’ve admired Jesus but never surrendered to Him, step from “near” to “in” (Mark 12:34). “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9–10)
